Job Overview
This role involves attending to electrical breakdowns, conducting inspections, supporting preventive maintenance activities, and coordinating with supervisors and contractors for repair works. The ideal candidate should possess good technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards in all maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance and repair works for electrical systems and equipment
- Attend to electrical breakdowns, defects, and technical issues reported on-site
- Perform inspections and basic troubleshooting on lighting, power supply, distribution boards (DBs), wiring, and other electrical systems
- Support preventive maintenance activities to ensure systems operate safely and reliably
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and service providers for rectification and maintenance works
- Monitor the condition of electrical systems and escalate issues requiring follow-up
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, defects, and completed works
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept safe and in good working condition
- Support day-to-day technical operations of the building or facility
Skills and Experiences
- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, or a related field
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance or facilities management
- Basic knowledge of building electrical systems, including lighting and power distribution
- Able to perform hands-on maintenance and repair work
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to respond promptly to site issues
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
