Job Overview

To support the institution’s international student recruitment efforts by implementing recruitment strategies and contributing towards the achievement of student enrolment targets.

The role requires strong communication, relationship management, and organizational skills to effectively engage with prospective students, parents, schools, agents, and other stakeholders while ensuring recruitment objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the university’s recruitment plans to achieve student recruitment targets.
  • Meet assigned deadlines and student recruitment goals.
  • Provide academic counselling, planning, and advisory support to prospective students and parents.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with higher secondary schools, alumni networks, and education agents across assigned regions.
  • Support and maintain relationships with recruitment agents to achieve enrolment targets.
  • Conduct regular visits and training sessions for key agents and counsellors.
  • Support agents in promotional activities such as education fairs, exhibitions, and information sessions.
  • Follow up promptly on enquiries and applications to maximise student conversion and enrolment rates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student recruitment and admissions activities.
  • Lead follow-up initiatives to ensure a strong application-to-enrolment conversion rate.
  • Work closely with the Head of International Student Recruitment to strengthen existing partnerships and develop new collaborations with agents and sponsors.
  • Collaborate with the Head of International Student Recruitment to ensure marketing and sales tools promoting UOC are effective, impactful, and suitable for assigned regions.
  • Prepare and submit monthly recruitment reports to the Head of International Student Recruitment.

Skills and Experiences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or customer service-related roles.
  • Experience in team leadership and people management.
  • Experience within the higher education industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude and personality.
  • Good computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks independently in an organized manner.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant educational background.
  • Relevant years of working experience.
  • Specific domain expertise related to international student recruitment, sales, or higher education.
