Job Overview
The Programme Coordinator should work with the Chief Executive/Academic Head/Coordinator and the other members of the faculty to ensure smooth implementation and successful execution of the assigned programme. The Programme Coordinator also needs to ensure the programme is carried out to the highest possible standards, adhere to the evaluation and monitoring procedures, and comply with the regulations and standards (i.e, MQA and other relevant accreditation and regulatory bodies).
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the focal reference point for lecturers and students on the assigned programme.
- Constantly monitors students’ academic performance.
- Tend to matters related to facilities used by programme; (if any).
- Ensure that the programme is carried out to the highest possible standards and adhere to the evaluation and monitoring procedures inclusive of internal and external auditing, quality assurance, and risk management procedures.
- Keep up-to-date with developments from MQA, MOHE, and other accreditation and regulatory bodies on issues related to the programme.
- Continuously review and update (if necessary) the programme’s curriculum.
- To look for new and potential industrial partners and to maintain a close relationship with all industrial partners.
- Consistently engage with external examiners regarding programme matters.
- Ensure that students within the programme evaluated are able to maintain a score of at least 75.0%.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of lectures.
- Provide supervision, grading of students posted at industrial training. (if any)
- Ensure that exam papers are prepared, moderated, and submitted with the completion of all lecturers’ assessment to the exam unit on time.
- Ensure that all students’ attendance (for all lectures within the programme) is updated on a daily/weekly basis; and
- Prepare and submit the required reports to the Chief Executive/Academic Head/Coordinator promptly.
Skills and Experiences
- Candidates must have at least a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management and/or any related sub-specialty in Health Sciences, OR an MBA with Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management and/or any related sub-specialty in Health Sciences. Candidates with a PhD, full Professor, or Associate Professor recognition will be given preferential consideration.
- Able to foster collaborative efforts in building partnerships with local and international agencies/industrial partners/associations and etc.

- Able to maintain and develop strong and viable undergraduate and professional programmes, and to maintain programmes accreditation.
- Have the ability to articulate a clear vision for the faculty’s future and develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for the faculty.
- Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Having a strong skill set in the English Language is a must.
- Able to hold fiscal responsibility and have the ability to manage budgets; and
- Must have proven leadership and management/supervisory experience.
