TESL Lecturer

The University of Cyberjaya is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to join our Department of Education. In this role, you will teach and support students in developing strong English language proficiency, with a focus on reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. You will help shape the next generation of English language educators through engaging lessons, innovative teaching practices, and hands-on classroom experience.

• Teach courses in English language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking), linguistics, second language acquisition, and language pedagogy.
• Guide students through micro-teaching, practicum, and classroom-based projects.
• Stay current with emerging trends in TESL/ESL, applied linguistics, and innovative language teaching methods.
• Incorporate technology and interactive approaches into language teaching and assessment.
• Develop and refine course materials that reflect best practices in language education.
• Supervise student projects and support students in preparing to teach English as a second language.
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools and language centres to create practicum and internship opportunities for students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, research initiatives, and the promotion of innovative teaching practices within the department

Required: A Master’s degree in Education, TESL, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related discipline. Candidates without this specific background may still be considered if they can demonstrate strong teaching experience and academic potential.

Preferred: A PhD in a field related to TESL
