Job Overview
The Clinical Psychologist will provide evidence-based psychological services to students, staff, and the wider community. This role combines clinical practice, teaching, and research to advance mental health awareness and support within the university and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.
- Provide crisis intervention and mental health support services.
- Develop and implement mental health programs and workshops.
- Supervise trainees and contribute to clinical training programs.
- Engage in research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Promote mental health awareness through outreach and community engagement.
Skills and Experiences
- Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensed/registered with the relevant professional body (e.g., Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology or equivalent).
- Demonstrated clinical experience in assessment and therapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
