Job Overview

The Head of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies to attract top talent across the Cyberjaya Education Group. This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on management, with a focus on building a strong recruitment function that supports the Group’s growth and talent needs. The position reports directly to the Group CHRO and will lead a team of recruiters to deliver high-quality talent acquisition outcomes. Experience in the education sector is an advantage, though not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities

 

Talent Acquisition Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the Group’s vision and workforce requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of recruiters, providing coaching, support, and performance management to ensure recruitment excellence.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and provide insights to the CHRO and senior management on hiring effectiveness and market trends.
  • Drive employer branding initiatives to position Cyberjaya Education Group as an employer of choice.

Recruitment Operations

  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, assessments, interviews, and offers.
  • Ensure an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies in recruitment practices.
  • Implement and manage recruitment systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Track and manage the recruitment budget to ensure cost-effective hiring and compliance with approved allocations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with business leaders, academic heads, and department managers to understand hiring needs and priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Group CHRO and leadership teams on talent availability, recruitment challenges, and market intelligence.
  • Build strong relationships with external recruitment agencies, universities, and professional networks to widen the talent pool.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Regularly review and refine recruitment processes to ensure they remain competitive, efficient, and inclusive.
  • Leverage technology and digital platforms to enhance sourcing, tracking, and recruitment analytics.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the talent acquisition strategy.

Skills and Experiences

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing a team of recruiters.
  • Experience in the education sector is preferred but not mandatory.
