Senior Manager, Human Resource Business Partner
Job Overview
The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner plays a critical role in driving both strategic and operational HR initiatives across the Cyberjaya Education Group. Reporting to the Group CHRO, this role acts as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders—including the CEO, GMs, faculty leaders (VC, DVCs, Deans) and founders—ensuring that business and academic objectives are supported through effective people strategies. The ideal candidate brings a balanced blend of hands-on execution and high-level strategic thinking, with a strong background in recruitment, operations, compensation & benefits and HR business partnering.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategically partner with business and academic leaders (CEO, GMs, VC, DVCs, Deans) to design and implement people strategies that drive institutional goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and organisational development.
- Oversee full-cycle HR operations—covering talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, policy administration and HR governance.
- Support compensation & benefits strategy, ensuring both external competitiveness and internal equity.
- Lead engagement and culture initiatives to cultivate an outstanding work and academic environment.
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to ensure aligned and integrated HR delivery across the Group.
- Mentor and coach junior HR professionals, strengthening team capability and fostering knowledge-sharing.
- Monitor key HR metrics and use data-driven insights to optimise processes and outcomes.
- Balance strategic HR planning with hands-on execution in support of business and faculty needs.
Skills and Experiences
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in an HRBP, HR generalist leadership, or equivalent role.
- Demonstrated experience advising and influencing senior stakeholders at executive or faculty-leader level (e.g., CEO, VC, Deans).
- Strong hands-on capability in recruitment, operations and compensation & benefits.
- Deep HR generalist knowledge, with expertise in employee relations, performance management, organizational design and policy compliance.
- Ability to operate with strategic agility while staying engaged in day-to-day HR delivery.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in the education sector, professional services, or matrixed organisations with faculty and corporate stakeholders.
- History of leading HR initiatives that support organisational growth, transformation, or culture change.
- Experience building HR capabilities in teams, through coaching, mentoring, or structured development efforts.
