Senior Executive/Executive, Information Technology (AMU)

The IT Support and Systems Administrator is responsible for the management, maintenance, and support of all IT and electronic equipment across the organisation. This includes overseeing PCs, projectors, networks, and internet connectivity to ensure reliable performance in support of teaching, learning, administration, and operational functions. The role also involves maintaining and managing CCTV systems and access security infrastructure, including access cards, doors, and surveillance equipment.

In addition, the position requires oversight of electronic systems such as audio-visual and lighting equipment in key facilities (e.g., SRC), as well as PABX/intercom systems and the recording studio. The postholder will also be responsible for administering user access, including email account creation, password resets, system access provisioning, and support for thumbprint authentication, delivering comprehensive IT support across all departments.

• Set up workstations with computer and necessary devices (Login, Printer Access, Wifi Connection)
• Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications
• Develop and maintain local network in ways that optimise Performance
• Ensure the privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (Repair, replace parts, debugging)
• Support users online and in person
• Manage user Email, Systems, Access Door, and Security access.
• Take care of CCTV and PABX/ Telephone
• Manage Audio Visual and multimedia
• Responsible for liaising with the vendor for any project.

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Have at least 4 years of solid related working experience.
• Have good knowledge and experience in Office, Electronic, networking, cabling, wiring, electrical, audio visual, CCTV, Basic Video editing and live broadcast (OBS, Vmix)
• Proactive, people-oriented, and goal-driven.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Certification as an IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. Microsoft Certified IT Professional)
