Job Overview
As an Executive – Talent Development plays a supportive role in executing talent development strategies and initiatives. This role typically involves both strategic and operational responsibilities, with a focus on employee growth, development, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning Needs Assessment
- Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups to assess employee training needs.
- Support the collection and analysis of feedback on existing learning programs to improve them.
- Publish and communicate ‘Annual Training Calendar’
- Help create employee development pathways to enhance skills and career progression.
- Training Delivery & Coordination
- Identify and coordinate with training providers, trainers and facilitators
- Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, organizing materials, refreshments and ensuring resources are available.
- Assist in the implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programs.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of development programs through key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Help manage the talent development budget by tracking expenses related to training programs, external courses, and resources.
- Maintain training records
- Talent Development Initiatives
- Help in planning and supporting talent development activities
- Assist and implement development programs that foster leadership growth at various levels of the organization
- Monitor and provide feedback on Talent development programme status
- Department Collaboration
- Work closely with HR, faculty, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure that talent development programs meet the needs of various teams.
- Act as a point of contact for employees and managers for development-related inquiries.
- HRDC
- Coordinate HRDC programme approval and Training grant approvals
- Monitor levy contributions and utilisations
- Maintain Training Provider registration
- LMS
- Support digitalisation of training programmes
- Leverage technology (e.g., Learning Management Systems, e-learning platforms) to enhance training delivery and accessibility
- Maintain and update website on matters related to Talent development
Skills and Experiences
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field is typically required.
- Experience: Some experience in human resources, talent development, or related fields is often required. Range from 1–3 years
- Training and Certifications: Certifications in learning and development, HR, CIPD can be beneficial
- Good interpersonal skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skill
