Job Overview
This position is in responsible to lead and develop overall strategy and revenue generation for the market through generating additional business with existing accounts while also reporting to the Bursar. The duties involve planning, monitoring, and developing tasks assigned by Bursar, as well as independently implementing strategies as directed by the department or Bursar.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the team growth and serve as a team leader;
- Manage departmental operation budget and costing according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable;
- Develop, monitor and recommend continuous improvement on sales processes, sales plan, customer /student satisfactions;
- Strategically plan and execute targeted recruitment media campaign to establish talent pools
- Participate in student recruitment, marketing activities, and the development of other team members (telemarketing, consultation);
- Participate in marketing operation activities such as hostel booking, transportation, etc.;
- Travel or outstation within Sarawak (exclusively on weekend, Saturday and Sunday);
- Identify strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information;
- Able to provide quality decision making and identify new opportunities for team growth;
- Manage the recruitment process, training and development for the new and existing staff; and
- Support SD in organizing, planning, and implementing strategy.
Skills and Experiences
- At least a diploma or bachelor’s degree in the related field;
- Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and local dialect;
- Computer literate, MS Office/Excel;
- Strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skill;
- Have significant experience in recruiting and performance evaluation is an added advantage;
- Sense of ownership and pride in performance; and
- Possess own transportation.
Preferred qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience of working Sales or other related position
- Possess strong communication skills, problem solving, delegation skill
- Possess own transportation
