Job Overview
IT Assistant (AV) is responsible on handling, operating and assist audio and visual technology equipment. Set up, monitor & attend to AV related matters in the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-arrangement, Installation, operation, and dismantle AV equipment.
- Ensure all audio-visual systems are operating at peak performance. When issues arise, able to troubleshoot and adjust the AV system as required.
- Managing the usage of recording, photograph & video equipment.
- Running test on equipment. and troubleshooting any problem that arise before all the events.
- Maintain inventory of equipment to ensure adequate supplies for all the company’s need.
- Analyse the company’s technology needs, develop systems and software, implement hardware and software conduct tests, and maintain ongoing operations of all systems.
- Monitor information about upgrades to specific systems and schedule upgrades as needed.
- Create work assignments, assemble installation teams and oversee the Service Desk operations.
- Able to work after normal working hours and during weekend.
- Detailed understand of audio & video equipment’s setup, operation and servicing.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Skills and Experiences
Education and Experience
- Vocational College with at least two (2) to five (5) years of computer experience working with networks and on computers.
- Working experience with at least two (2) to five (5) years in audio visual related field is required for this position.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
- Display stronger than average communication, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computer operating, software, hardware and other systems. Understanding of most recent computer system upgrades.
- Integrating new and upgraded systems.
- Monitoring systems operations and making recommendations as needed.
- Developing technological procedural and operations manuals.
- Preferred (min. average) spoken & written in English language.
