Assistant Manager, Web Administrator & Digital Marketing
Job Overview
Seeking a highly motivated individual to ensure that all websites under the Group are functioning as intended, and are well-maintained. As Web Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our websites to ensure optimal performance and user experience. You will be working closely with various teams including designers and content creators to ensure that our websites meets our business objectives. You will also be supporting digital marketing by working closely with team members to get the best possible outcome for digital marketing to maximise cost and results to impact recruitment and sales.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Website Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Group and University websites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues related to functionality, performance, and security.
- Implement website updates and enhancements, working closely with developers and content owners.
- Regularly monitor website performance, conduct audits, and implement necessary improvements to ensure optimal speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience
- Manage website content management systems (CMS)
Backend Development & Programming:
- Develop and maintain backend functionalities of the website using programming languages like HTML, Python, PHP, Javascript, C++.
- Integrate third-party APIs and tools to enhance website functionality.
- Contribute to the optimisation and improvement of website codebase.
Website Analytics & Performance Monitoring:
- Utilise website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversions.
- Analyse website data to identify areas for improvement and performance optimisation.
- Generate reports and recommendations for website improvements based on data insights.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with web designers, developers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure a seamless website experience.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Skills and Experiences
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in website management or a related technical role
- Strong understanding of website architecture, backend development, and content management systems (CMS)
- Must understand and be up-to-date on WordPress plugin updates and developments.
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to web development (e.g., Python, PHP)
- Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the above:
- Experience with website security best practices.
- Experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) principles.
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
- Experience with Oxygen and Bricks builder as well as using Elementor.
